Say, did you hear? The Giants won the World Series. And today they’re gonna have themselves a parade. I won’t be there, which is sad, but this item over at SFGate cheered me up considerably.

Seems the Giants are ordering ten times more confetti (“non-color-bleeding, biodegradable, nontoxic, flame-retardant” confetti, because this is San Francisco) than they did in 2010. One-and-a-half tons, all told.

But here’s the best part:

“It’s the biggest single-shot order I’ve ever seen,” said Brian Baker of Confetti Unlimited in Anaheim, which is supplying the stuff at $10 a pound. That works out to $30,000 worth of little paper bits.

Anaheim. Anaheim! Almost exactly ten years ago, they were having a parade in Anaheim and I was softly weeping into my Tsuyoshi Shinjo jersey. Today, Anaheim is supplying our confetti.

Feels good, man. Feels real good.
